The Visual Vocabulary of the Divine: A Conceptual Editorial DesignAs part of my BA Animation and Graphic Design coursework, I recently undertook an editorial design challenge focused on cultural representation and high-end tourism. The project, titled "The Visual Vocabulary of the Divine," required conceptualizing and executing an A4 single-page magazine spread for an imaginary campaign commissioned by the Global Branding Division of Kerala Tourism. The primary objective was to reposition Kerala's vibrant Theyyam and Thira rituals not merely as tourist attractions, but as a primal, "slow travel" experience. The brief specifically targeted a sophisticated Western European demographic aged 25 to 45, challenging the design to move beyond standard tourism tropes and into the realm of spiritual authenticity. To capture the raw intensity of these rituals, I adopted a "Minimalist-Maximalist" visual strategy. This approach relies on striking visual contrast, ...

Israel - Iran War

Literal Causes of the Conflict     The 1979 Islamic Revolution This was the primary turning point. Before 1979, Iran and Israel maintained cordial, though unofficial, ties under the Shah. Post-revolution, Iran’s new leadership  espoused ananti-Zionist  testament,  disassociated all politic ties, and labeled Israel an illegitimate state.     The" Axis of Resistance" Iran  erected a network of indigenous  delegates including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and the Houthis in Yemen — to project power and encircle Israel.     Nuclear intentions Israel views a nuclear-fortified Iran as an empirical   trouble. Decades of covert sabotage,  similar as the Stuxnet cyberattack in 2010 and the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, heightened pressures.     Escalation to Open War( 2024 – 2026)     The transition to direct, state- on- state combat was driven by the collapse ...

Crime against Children in India

Image
A child is a human being between the stages of birth and puberty or between the developmental period of infancy and puberty] The term may also refer to an unborn human being In English-speaking countries, the legal definition of child generally refers to a minor, in this case as a person younger than the local age of majority (there are exceptions such as, for example, the consume and purchase of alcoholic beverage even after said age of majority regardless of their physical, mental and sexual development as biological adults] Children generally have fewer rights and responsibilities than adults. They are generally classed as unable to make serious decisions.   Child may also describe a relationship with a parent (such as sons and daughters of any age) [9] or, metaphorically, an authority figure, or signify group membership in a clan, tribe, or religion; it can also signify being strongly affected by a specific time, place, or circumstance, as in "a child of...

The Deadly Cost of a Viral Video The Trial by Social Media: Unpacking the Kozhikode Bus Suicide Tragedy

In the age of instant connectivity, a smartphone camera can be a tool for justice—or a weapon of destruction. The recent tragedy in Kozhikode, Kerala, involving the death of 41-year-old Deepak, has ignited a fierce national debate over the ethics of "social media trials" and the devastating impact of viral accusations. The Spark: An 18-Second Video On January 16, 2026, the digital landscape shifted for Deepak, a resident of Govindapuram.  Shimjitha Musthafa , a social media blogger and influencer, uploaded a short video captured during a bus journey to Payyannur. In the clip, she alleged that Deepak had touched her inappropriately in the crowded vehicle. Driven by algorithms and the rush for "vigilante justice," the video exploded, garnering over  2 million views  within two days. The comments section quickly became a digital courtroom, where Deepak was branded a sexual predator before a single police report was even filed. The Breaking Point For Deepak,...
